CYO Travel Basketball

St. Matthew Roman Catholic Church in Dix Hills, NY offers travel basketball to the children of the local community in association with the Nassau Suffolk CYO program. Children of all religious faiths are welcome to participate in our travel program subject to the geographic eligibility requirements of the CYO program.

St. Matthew 2011-2012 Girls CYO

CONGRATULATIONS to our Girls CYO teams who finished another competitive and successful season. Thanks to coaches Anthony Casalino, Dan Morley and Steve Nicolino and their assistants for all of their hard work and dedication. We thank the girls for their effort, sportsmanship and teamwork that made us proud of them.

St. Matthew 2011-2012 Boys CYO

The boys CYO season has come to a conclusion and we would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to our Boys CYO teams who finished another competitive and successful season. Thanks to coaches John Natalone, Chris Tiriolo, Dan Ryan, Phil Spadafora, Hunt Bresky, Mark Behr, Andrew Sanantonio,and Joe Busittil and their assistants for all of their hard work and dedication. We thank the boys for their effort, sportsmanship and teamwork that made us proud of them. St. Matthew is sending a few teams to the playoffs, while a few spots were just missed!

….Coach Joe Busittil and his 8^th Grade team who ran the tables @ 12-0 and head into the playoffs with high hopes!!

….Coach Hunt Bresky and his 7^th grade team who won their final game to make it into the playoffs in a strong bracket finishing 9-3!

Our Boys High School team is still mid season and doing very well, hoping to cap off a final season together with a spot in the playoffs.

CYO Program 2012-2013

The 2012-2013 program is open to children entering 4th grade or higher as of September 2011
subject to the formation of a team at that age level. Team rosters are formed on a
tryout basis.

Eligibility

Eligibility for the travel program is based on CYO geographic restrictions and St.
Matthew's travel selection policy. Please refer to the following documents for
additional information on the eligibility requirements.

Fees

The registration fee is $220 and must be paid in full prior to tryouts. Players not
selected for a travel team will be given the option of a full refund, or registration in the
intramural program with a refund of the difference in fees. FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE
UNIFORMS. There will be NO refunds once a player is placed on a roster after tryouts.

Uniforms

All players must wear the travel uniform (jersey and shorts) to all games. Players who
played in the prior year travel program may re-use their uniforms if so desired. New
uniforms may be purchased for $70. Uniforms can be paid for when you register. They will not be

distributed until players have been selected and placed on a roster. Additional sale dates will be published when
determined.

Registration

The registration deadline varies by age level and will be announced on this website,
To register, complete a registration form and bring it with you to the tryout, mail it to the address on the form, or drop
it in the Athletic Suggestion Box outside the gymnasium. Registration with full
payment must be submitted prior to tryouts. There will be NO refunds once a player is placed on a roster after tryouts.
