CYO Role Models Award Dinner

CYO ROLE MODELS AWARD DINNER

The CYO organization provides a wonderful opportunity for our young participants to have good role models. The Annual Dinner celebration was held at the Woodbury Country Club on Friday evening, May 6th. It is an occasion to recognize by name those who have fulfilled that role in an exemplary manner.

MATT LULLEY who has coached CYO and Intramural Basketball for many years at
St. Matthew’s is the person who received the Role Model Award. The award certificate bearing his name read, “for your outstanding dedication and commitment to the youth of
St. Matthew.” Matt has always been respectful, kind and encouraging to our young players. He has been dedicated to these children and has worked hard on their behalf. Truly, he has had a positive influence on their lives.

St. Matthew’s is so proud that Matt received this outstanding Role Model Award. We congratulate him, his wife Kara, their 4 children and his parents, all of whom are Parishioners here. Chris Felice, the Lulley family and I were honored to attend the dinner when Matt received the award. Truly, it was an enjoyable and inspiring night. (You’ll see Matt pictured with us and with Bishop Libasci.)

Also, I want to congratulate Glenn Stanis and his team for receiving the CYO Sportsmanship Award. We’re so proud that they have received this wonderful award. Their award plaque is in our display case in the Parish Center. Glenn has worked hard coordinating and coaching our CYO Teams. We are very appreciative for all he done for the children in the CYO program.

Lastly, I am grateful to and pray for God’s blessing on our Athletic Director, Chris Felice, and on all who have participated, volunteered and supported our Athletic Program.                                                                               Sister Kay McCarthy
