Rev. Lawrence A. Chadwick

Ordained at St. Agnes Cathedral, Rockville Centre, on April 5, 1975, (Saturday after Easter of that year.) Previous church assignments have been: as ordained deacon assignment to St. Barnabas the Apostle in Bellmore from April 1974 to ordination to the priesthood; St. Paul the Apostle, Brookville, from April 1975 to June of 1978; Our Lady Queen of Martyrs, Centerport to June of 1983, Notre Dame, New Hyde Park to 1991, and at the perish of Saint Matthew 'til the present.

Born in New York City at Saint Vincent Hospital, grew up in Floral Park and graduated from Our Lady of Victory School in June of 1962. The family moved to Remsenburg that summer. Graduated from Mercy High School in Riverhead in 1966. Attended St. Plus X Junior Seminary in Uniondale. Graduated from Cathedral College of the Immaculate Conception at Douglaston in 1970 and begin theological studies at the diocesan seminary in Huntington in Fall of 1970; completed studies in January of 1974 with ordination to the deaconate, in seminary chapel, in January of 1974.

Family members - an older brother - Ray Chadwick, and wife - Kathy - and two boys living in Manchester, New Hampshire. A father - Lloyd Chadwick, living at home in Remsenburg. Mother - Dolores Beckett Chadwick died of cancer August 1997.
